PACKING SUPPLIES
Choosing and using PACKING SUPPLIES
Packing supplies are the materials that decide whether a move goes smoothly: boxes matched to their contents, tape strong enough to hold a loaded box, and wrapping that protects what breaks easily.
Materials matter more than quantity
A box is only as good as what protects its contents. Paper for general wrapping, bubble wrap for anything taking a knock, and tape that holds the bottom seam under weight.
Speciality boxes exist for a reason
Dishes travel upright in divided boxes, hanging clothes crease without a wardrobe box, and screens need an adjustable box rather than a blanket. A few correct containers prevent the most common damage.
Plan for a full home
A move consumes tape and wrapping faster than people expect. Ordering materials alongside the boxes is what keeps the packing moving instead of stalling partway through the kitchen.

Packing Questions
What packing supplies does a move need?
Boxes in the right sizes, tape for every seam, packing paper and bubble wrap for fragile items, and markers for labelling by destination room. Speciality boxes cover dishes, hanging clothes, and screens.
How much tape will I use?
Plan on at least two strips per box, one along the bottom seam and one along the top, with more on heavier boxes. Tape is the item most moves run out of first.
Are the materials suitable for storage as well as moving?
They are, though goods staying in storage for months benefit from stronger packing and better dust protection, since they are not going straight into a home.
